Work Allocation — allocate work from one Excel sheet

On the VB-G RAM G Work Allocation page, GramG Ninja allocates every worker in your sheet to exactly the work code you gave, checks every row right before Save, and gives you a results sheet — stop and resume any time.

  • Excel in, results out
  • Exact job card + name
  • Checked before every Save
  • eKYC / ABPS rule
  • 100% Free

What this tool does

Allocating work by hand means picking the work category, searching the work, finding each worker in the list, entering the dates and days, and saving — for every work. The Work Allocation panel does it from one sheet:

  • Excel in — Reg No · Applicant · Work Code · Alloc From · No of Days, one row per worker. Rows of the same work code are done together.
  • Exactly the right work — it selects the category from the work code, searches the work, and allocates each worker to that work only.
  • Exactly the right person — matched by job card and exact name. A similar spelling is never taken as the same person; rows that aren’t in your sheet are left untouched.
  • Checked before every Save — the page is read again right before Save (category, work code, ticked rows, dates, days). Any mismatch: nothing is saved and the reason is logged.
  • Large lists, any order — the portal lists only about 100 pending demands at a time, lowest job cards first, and the next ones appear as those are allocated. GramG Ninja sorts your sheet by job card before it starts (from 13.1.1), so a GP with hundreds of demands is worked through in the portal's order; people beyond the first 100 wait for their turn instead of being marked “not in portal”.
  • eKYC / ABPS entry rule — optionally skip workers without eKYC and/or ABPS, decided before the portal is touched, using the Panchayat’s synced ABPS data.
  • Nobody dropped silently — saved, rejected by the portal (with its message), skipped by the entry rule, or Needs check (with the reason). Download the results sheet as Excel.
  • Stop and resume — progress is kept; a slow portal or a dropped session doesn’t mean starting over.

The Excel sheet — five columns

The Work Allocation panel reads a simple .xlsx with one row per worker. Download the ready-made template, fill in your rows, then load it in the panel and click Start. Header names are matched loosely, in any order.

Work Code is the full code as the portal shows it — the work category is taken from it. Alloc From is written as DD-MM-YYYY. Rows with the same work code are allocated together. The sample rows are examples only: replace them with your own.

How to use it

  1. Add to Chrome / Edge (button above) to install GramG Ninja.
  2. Prepare the sheet from the Excel template: Reg No, Applicant, Work Code, Alloc From (DD-MM-YYYY) and No of Days.
  3. Open the portal’s Work Allocation page, choose the sheet in the GramG Ninja panel and check the preview.
  4. Press Start. When it finishes, download the results and deal with anything marked Needs check.

Programme Officer (block) login

The block login opens the same page with a Panchayat dropdown first. Pick the Panchayat, then Start: only that Panchayat’s works are allocated, and workers on other Panchayats’ works wait in the list — pick their Panchayat and press Start again. A run never continues on a different Panchayat; it pauses and says which one to pick.

Keep a person in the loop. Automated entry can make mistakes; the tool assists, it does not replace you. Check the results on the portal. Use at your own responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

What goes in the Excel sheet?

One row per worker with the columns Reg No (job card), Applicant, Work Code, Alloc From (DD-MM-YYYY) and No of Days. The sheet can be in any order: GramG Ninja sorts it by job card, as the portal lists the demands. Download the ready-made Excel template on this page; header names are matched loosely and can be in any order.

How does it make sure the right person gets the right work?

Each worker is matched on the portal by job card and exact name — a similar spelling is never assumed to be the same person. Right before every Save it reads the page again (work category, work code, ticked rows, dates and days) and does not save if anything differs.

What happens to workers it cannot allocate?

Nobody is dropped silently. A worker the portal rejects is marked rejected with its message; one it could not handle safely (not on the portal’s list, work not found) is marked Needs check with the reason. The results sheet lists everyone.

Can it skip workers without eKYC or ABPS?

Yes. Sync the Panchayat’s Aadhaar / ABPS Status Report once (the ABPS Data panel or the List Builder’s Sync), then choose the entry rule — eKYC done, ABPS enabled, or both — and those workers are skipped before the portal is touched, with the reason in the results.

Does it work in the Programme Officer (block) login?

Yes. Pick the Panchayat in the form first. Only that Panchayat’s works are allocated; workers on other Panchayats’ works wait in the list until you pick their Panchayat and press Start again.

Is it official?

No. GramG Ninja is an independent tool by VisionTech, not a government product. Automated entry can make mistakes; check the results on the portal and use it at your own responsibility.
