  • Every work, every GP
  • Freezes only “no Material”

Getting your bookmark ready…

A frozen DPR cannot be un-frozen. Run a dry run first, read the log, then do the real run. Keep a person in the loop while it runs.

What the Freeze DPR automation does

Freezing DPRs by hand means picking each work in Select work, reading the red message, and pressing Freeze DPR — for hundreds of works in every panchayat. The bookmark does that loop for you, one work at a time, with this rule:

After selecting the work, the portal says…What the tool does
“There is no Material so please fill Material first”Presses Freeze DPR and logs the portal's answer
“There is no Activity and Material so please fill Activity and Material first”Skips the work
Anything else, or nothingSkips the work and logs the exact message
  • Whole block or one panchayat — search by the block code to load every work, then pick one GP or run them all. The list shows how many works each GP has.
  • Dry run — check every work without freezing anything, and see what would happen.
  • Resume — progress is saved after every work, so a slow portal, a reload or a sign-out doesn't mean starting over.
  • A log you can keep — time, GP, work code, work name, the portal's message, action and result, as a CSV that opens in Excel.
  • Counts, nothing else — after each real freeze the tool sends one hit with the GP code and the scheme (work) code — public data on the portal — so this page can show how many DPRs have been frozen in all. No name, registration number or login is ever sent, and a dry run sends nothing.
  • Careful by default — it never freezes on a message it doesn't recognise, waits longer when the portal is slow, and stops by itself after five failures in a row.

How to use it

  1. Add the bookmark — drag the 🥷 Freeze DPR button above to your bookmarks bar (once).
  2. Sign in to the VB-G RAM G portal and open Freeze DPR.
  3. Click the Freeze DPR bookmark. The GramG Ninja panel opens on the right.
  4. Type a search key — the block code (e.g. 3206003) for every work in the block, or a GP code (e.g. 3206003006) — and press Load works.
  5. Pick All panchayats or one GP. Tick Dry run and press Start. Download the log and check it.
  6. Untick Dry run and press Start again to freeze. Keep the tab open; you can Stop any time and Resume later.
Keep a person in the loop. Automated entry can make mistakes; the tool assists, it does not replace you. Check the results on the portal. Use at your own responsibility.

Why the portal says “There is no Material”

The Freeze DPR page compares a work's activities and material estimate with its sanctioned amounts. The note on the page says a work is frozen when the activity total equals the total financial sanction and the estimated material total equals the total material cost. Works with no activities at all show “There is no Activity and Material” and need their activities entered first; works that have activities but no material line show “There is no Material”. The tool doesn't change any activity or amount — it only reads the message and presses the button you would press.

Frequently asked questions

What is Freeze DPR on VBGRAMG?

On the VB-G RAM G portal, Freeze DPR locks a work’s Detailed Project Report (its activities and estimate) at block level. The portal lists works that are approved or ongoing and not yet frozen; you pick each work in “Select work” and press Freeze DPR. With hundreds of works per panchayat, doing that one by one takes hours.

Which works does the automation freeze?

Only works where, after selecting the work, the portal shows “There is no Material so please fill Material first”. Works that show “There is no Activity and Material so please fill Activity and Material first” are skipped. Any other message, or no message, is also skipped and written to the log with the exact text, so nothing is frozen on a message the tool does not recognise.

Can a frozen DPR be un-frozen?

Not from this page — freezing is one-way, and frozen works disappear from the Select work list. Run a dry run first to see exactly which works would be frozen.

What is a dry run?

Tick “Dry run” before Start. The tool selects every work and reads the portal’s message but never presses Freeze DPR. The log then shows which works would be frozen and which would be skipped.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It is a bookmark (a “bookmarklet”). Drag the button on this page to your bookmarks bar once; then click it on the Freeze DPR page. It works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a computer.

What if the portal is slow or I get signed out?

Progress is saved after every work. If the page reloads or the session expires, sign in again, open Freeze DPR, click the bookmark and press Resume — it continues from the next work. It waits longer when the portal is slow and stops on its own after five failures in a row.

What is in the log?

One row per work: time, GP code, work code, work name, the portal’s message, the action taken and the result. Download it as CSV; it opens directly in Excel.

Does it send any of my data anywhere?

Only a count. After each DPR it actually freezes, it sends one hit with that work’s GP code and scheme (work) code, which are public on the portal, so this page can show how many DPRs have been frozen by all users. No work name, beneficiary, registration number, login or password is sent, and a dry run sends nothing. The log stays in your browser until you download it.

Is it official?

No. This is an independent tool by VisionTech, part of the GramG Ninja family. It is not a government product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NIC or the Ministry of Rural Development. It only clicks what you would click yourself, in your own signed-in session.
